Tom has been a member of Local 81 for 35 years. Tom became a proud member of Local 81 in 1973. He started working on the dock at Trans-Western/Bend-Portland Truck Lines (which was later bought out by System 99) at the age of nineteen. At age twenty-one, he started driving straight truck, then moved into tractor-trailers, doubles, and triples. He ran city P&D and short line for several companies, including CF and NationsWay. Through the years Tom has served as Shop Steward, as a Trustee for the Local and was appointed as Business Representative in 1999. He was elected Secretary-Treasurer in 2006. He is married with two children and two grandchildren.

Mike has a long and distinguished record of service with Local 81 as Trustee and as Recording Secretary. He is a long time city driver and shop steward for Oak Harbor Freight Lines, as well as the longest-serving member of the OHFL Negotiating Team.

Mike has been a long time Teamster city driver (October 1985) and shop steward at Yellow Freight in Portland. He is devoted to keeping the Local unified and focused on the needs of the members. Mike is married with six children.

Barney is a past two-term Trustee of the Local, and a long time city driver and shop steward at Oak Harbor Freight Lines. In addition, he has also served as an invaluable member of the OHFL Negotiating Team. His goals are to continue to grow and strengthen Local 81.

Dennis is a long-time P&D city driver for Roadway Express in Portland, and a member of Local 81 since 1980. He is focused on serving the Local and it's members.

Eric is an 12-year member of Local 81 employed by Roadway Express. Eric was appointed Trustee in December 2007, and is looking forward to serving the members of Local 81 in his newest capacity as Business Representative. He has been an active participant in the Oregon State Truck Driver Championships. He was State Champion in the 3-Axle class and Rookie of the Year in 2005. Eric is 32 years old, and is married with three children. Unfortunately, due to a reduction in membership because of the poor economic conditions, Eric is currently on lay-off status in his role as Business Representative. Secretary-Treasurer Tom Strickland will be handling his duties.

As office manager, Karen is our most valuable asset. She is the friendly, smiling face you see if you are visiting the Local office or when calling on the phone.
